This does not always have to be by feeling that you have to give someone a gift in order to show them you love them. Love is not something that we show only one day out of the year. In any sound relationship love is shown everyday. Every living thing on this earth needs to show love and also receive love. Once love is there in your life then everything else will fall into place in your life.

As I said above this does all depend on the person. You could start really paying attention to some of the things that she says she likes. Women have a tendency to mention what they do like especially when it comes to Valentine’s Day. She might say something like “I sure would like to have that dinner out next Thursday night.”
In other words she is reminding you of 2 things. Valentine’s day is on Thursday and she is kinda expecting a night out. That does mean just the two of you. No friends. No kids. Honestly, you can’t be romantic with everyone else around. If, you do plan on taking her out to dinner be sure to let her know. Women like to have time to get ready and prepare for an evening out.
It would be nice to have some flowers ready. These do not have to be Roses but this special day is kinda known for red roses because they are a symbol of romantic love.

What does your man like? I think that he also likes to have that romantic night out with you too! He also likes to see you looking good and smelling good! So plan for an evening out. If he would rather spend the evening home with you then be prepared for that too! He may prefer having you totally alone.

I know that this may seem shocking to most people but one of the best things you can give someone is your time! Most people are consumed with just every day duties from working, to raising children, getting the housework done, all the duties to running a house hold, and some people having to work 2 to 3 jobs to just make ends meet. It gets to where you just don’t have time to give to the people that you do care about.
If you have no extra money to buy someone that gift that you would like to give them then maybe you could try this: You were probably going to have a dinner anyways so make it romantic for him or her. Have your own candle light dinner at home eating whatever you have available.
It is alright for kids to eat with dinner by candlelight also. That would be exciting for them!
If you have construction paper available make your own cards! This can be a lot of fun for the whole family to do this together.
